Morphology 2021

One of the things I was proudest of this year was being part of Morphology 2021. The project documents the morphing of industrial land along Mississauga's last remaining waterfront into a verdant conservation area. It is a huge project that involves creating wetland, meadows and forests, all in an urban setting.

It is bittersweet in a way because the Councillor Jim Tovey, who had the vision and advocated tirelessly for this project, passed away suddenly in 2018. The Jim Tovey Lakeview Conservation Area bears his name.

Local photographers have been invited periodically to document the process through their creative vision, with select photos being exhibited. I was honoured to be part of this group in 2020 and 2021.

Here are some photos from the exhibit which took place October 15-50, 2021.
