Photographs are everywhere, but great photos are rare

Long wooden bridge at sunset with a photographer sitting crosslegged ,looking away towards the sunset.

Years from now, you won’t wish you’d taken fewer photos—only that you’d taken them sooner.

A sequence of images showing someone hugging and embracing a large tree trunk in a forest with autumn leaves on the ground.

I’m Heather, a photographer based in Port Credit, Ontario

Photography is about more than images—it’s about helping people feel comfortable, seen, and remembered.

Whether I’m photographing people, pets, or the landscapes that ground us, my goal is always the same: to create honest, natural images.

I offer outdoor portraits that feel relaxed and unforced, studio sessions with thoughtful lighting and gentle guidance, and landscape photography that captures the quiet beauty of nature.

Many of my clients come to me feeling unsure or camera-shy, and leave surprised by how easy—and even enjoyable—the experience felt.

The result is imagery that isn’t just beautiful, but meaningful—photographs you’ll be glad you took, and grateful to have as time moves on.

Welcome!

Fact 1

Lake Temagami, in northern Ontario, is one of my favourite places. The number of stars in the night sky is astounding, the water is clean, and the air so fresh, you feel revitalized after a short visit.

02.

Fact 2

Our front yard is now a native plant garden. You can find me, camera in hand, taking lots of butterfly and insect photos in our new ecosystem.

03.

Fact 3

We have moved 11 times in the last 20 years to Hong Kong, the Philippines, Dubai and other locales. Taking pictures has been a constant, and a doorway to new adventures.

04.

Fact 4

My background is magazine editing, and journalism.  I am married with three kids and live in Port Credit, Mississauga, Ontario.

I had the pleasure of working with Heather on two photo sessions with my dog (one inside, one outside). She was absolutely wonderful; took lots of time for my pup to adjust to her (and the camera) being around - even turning off the sound of the camera click to not startle her! She didn't rush me at all, and came up with lots of creative solves to get all the photos I envisioned. Super responsive and got the photos over quickly as well. Absolutely beautiful photos - she really captured my pup's spirit and our connection. Can not recommend Heather enough - 10/10 experience!!!

You don’t need experience or confidence—just a willingness to show up. I’ll take care of the rest, and you’ll be glad you did.
